There’s some news about the Google Pixel 2

Google Pixel 2

Who doesn’t love the Google Pixel? With stock Android and an amazing design, the phone was near perfect. Of course, like all other phones, it too had its own share of cons, but overall, the phone was a masterpiece. Now that, the Pixel 2 is on the way, there is a leak that suggests the Pixel 2 is going to repeat a design flaw that may not be so welcome among the general masses.

The Pixel and Pixel XL had an excellent design but their big bezels at the top and bottom felt quite odd to look at. Now that, Google has partnered with LG and both LG and Samsung had made stunning flagships which had little to none bezels, most expected the Pixel 2 would have very little bezels too. But then there’s the leak!

What’s the leak?

S1 and M1 were the codenames of the Pixel and Pixel XL. But a Japanese blog HTC Soku has discovered that the system files of HTC U11 phone had mentions of S2 and M2. This signifies that most probably the Google Pixel 2 will be developed by HTC as opposed to LG.

And since the first Pixel whose design was overseen by HTC, was based on the A9 iPhone, the Pixel 2 may be based on the HTC U11.

Both the S2 and M2 will supposedly feature the Snapdragon 835 processor, which is as of yet, Snapdragon’s latest processor. Thus you can rest assured your Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will have the Snapdragon 835 processor.

Anyhow, now that the leak suggests that the Google Pixel 2 may have a close association with the HTC U11, we now come to the design flaws I mentioned at the beginning.

The Design Flaws in the Pixel 2

One, as I mentioned in the beginning, the Pixel 2 may have those unattractive bezels as in the HTC U11.

Two, Pixel 2 may have the Edge Sense pressure sensitive sides. While some love the feature as it is no doubt fun to use, but the feature seems more like a gimmick as of now. It may not be a design flaw of the Pixel 2 and may even be a pro feature for some people.

But, considering the Pixel 2’s highly probable mention in the HTC U11’s system file, you may not find the bezel-less killer design in the HTC U11.

Anyhow, what do you think regarding the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL? Will it be a stunner or will it be a flop? Share your thoughts down in the comments!
