Smartphones with 5-inches or larger screen better known as Phablets have marked a rapid growth in the Indian market. Phablets have become a hot cake for the Indian buyers, particularly the college going crowd are attracted towards bigger and better touch screens. The first Phablet Xolo Q2000 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touch Screen, which produces a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at a rate of 267 pixels per inch. While the second Phablet, Xolo Q1000 sports a smaller 5-inch touch screen of the same technology producing similar resolution but at a better rate of 294 pixels per inch.

Processor & RAM:

Beneath its plastic body, Xolo Q2000 boasts a 1.2GHz MT6589 Quad Core Processor with 1GB of RAM. Its graphics core PowerVR SGX544 is clocked at 357MHz. Xolo Q1000 is powered by the same processor and RAM. The only difference lies in the GPU, which at Xolo Q1000 is clocked at a substandard rate of 286MHz. This suggests that Xolo Q2000 produces better graphics than Xolo Q1000.

Both Xolo Q2000 and Xolo Q1000 Smartphone Phablets run on Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System.


For photography on the go, Xolo Q2000 houses a 13 Megapixels Autofocus rear camera featuring BSI 2 Sensor, LED flash, Full HD 1080p video recording, Panorama, HDR, face detection, image stabilization and more. It also carries a 2 Megapixels secondary camera on its front.

Xolo Q1000 packs an 8 Megapixels Autofocus rear camera featuring BSI Sensor technology, LED flash, HDR, Touch focus and HD video recording. For video chats, this Smartphone Phablet carries 1.2 Megapixels camera on its front.

Undoubtedly, Xolo Q2000 has a better camera featuring dozen of additional features.


Xolo Q2000 has 8GB of on-board storage memory, whereas Xolo Q1000 has only 4GB of it. Both these Smartphone Phablets support an external MicroSD card of up to 32GB.


Connectivity features of both Xolo Q2000 and Xolo Q1000 are almost same including 3G, GPRS with EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, WI-Fi, WI-Fi Hotspot, GPS with A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0 and 3.5mm Audio Jack.


Both Xolo Q2000 and Xolo Q1000 are equipped with Light Sensors, Proximity Sensors and Accelerometer.


Xolo Q2000 is fuelled by a 2600mAH battery, which promises up to 577 hours of standby and up to 17 hours of talk time. The second Phablet Xolo Q2000 is fuelled by a 2100mAH battery which claims 346 hours of standby and 14 hours of talk time.

Xolo Q2000 has a stronger battery but again it has a bigger screen which will consume more energy than of Q1000.


In our comparison test, Xolo Q2000 proves to be a bigger Phablet and better snapper over Xolo Q1000. However, both these Smartphones have many things in common like processor, RAM, Operating System and connectivity features. Overall, both these Phablets are worth buying products at the competitive price segment in which they are offered. Both of these are powered by a Quad Core processor supported with 1GB RAM, which drives them very smoothly without any lags. The hardware configuration can easily play huge applications and HD games on the devices. Multitasking is very comfortable on both devices. The duo also features a couple of exciting multimedia features, which will entertain you on the go.

The final decision rests in the hands of the purchaser. If you need a Phablet with bigger 5.5-inch screen and a better camera, go for Xolo Q2000. If a regular 5-inch Phablet is enough for you, then Xolo Q1000 has all the capabilities to be called as your next value for money buy.
