About ICT Awards
The International ICT Awards Philippines was launched in 2007 by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (CanCham) in close cooperation with the then BPAP (now IBPAP). All of the subsequent International ICT Awards Philippines events have been and continue to be organized by CanCham in association with IBPAP.
There were 100 nominees and 300 guests attended the first event in 2007 which was held in the New World Hotel
Winners of awards have ranged from widely-known major companies that are the mainstay of the IT-BPM industry in the country to small emerging companies that have stimulated dynamic growth and new developments.
The International ICT Awards Philippines are supported entirely by the private sector with no public funds from governments solicited or received. The events have been made possible by the generous support of private sector sponsors, by fees charged to participants in the annual events, and by the time provided by the professional staff of CanCham and IBPAP. The members of the Judging Panels have served on a pro bono basis. This tradition of 100% support by the private sector is being continued.
