Introducing the New Millennial Logo of RCBC

Banks has been existing since the ancient times and with the fast pace changes in culture, structures, people and even technology, they have to keep up with the latest trend and attract more clients and customers in the process, and one of these is the logo which represents the image of that institution or establishment.

One of these banks is the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) which is one of the major banks in the country launched its new corporate logo.

From its previous logo which is like a centered camera lens, the new RCBC logo is much more cleaner and minimalist which is the trend for corporate logos today like Apple. Its modern look is more inticing and attractive to the younger generations in which the first impression really matters for them. They also accompany it with the tag line “We Believe in You”,here they focused in helping their customers reach their dreams and ambitions as well as giving trust in managing their finances through their comprehensive banking programs and services.

In the Philippines, millennials are estimated to form about 1/3 of the population or around 35 million people.The survey reveals that 47% of millennials have been working longer hours more than 40 hours a week over the last five years compared with older generations.

With these statistics, millennials often have lesser time or free time for other activities that’s why they need something that wil hasten their tasks and that is also true for banking. RCBC banks are located across the country in strategic locations mostly near the hi-ways for easy access. They also have online banking where you can pay your bills quickly online just by logging in your personal laptop, pc and even your smartphones.

And for security, there have been no reports of any hacking or vulnerabilities in the bank unlike to other banks. It is better to be safe than sorry in where you will save your finances. They also support the youth to save by joining BSP’s Banking on Your Future (BOYF) Kiddie and Teen Account Program in nurturing good saving habits among millions of Filipino children.

RCBC also has accomplishments like winning 5 awards in the 12th Annual Philippine Dealing Systems Holdings Corporation & Subsidiaries (PDS) and Best Philippine Bank in Fixed Income & Forex cited by Asia Money.

The new RCBC logo will be visible very soon in your nearest RCBC branch and even more inpired to serve the public with its invigorated and renewed commitment to serve its clients and help them succeed in their financial journey.

At long last Unionbank Philippines finally released its mobile banking app for iOS and Android. Though their mobile banking mobile has been present for a long time but for only selected mobile devices and dedicated app for it.

Since this is a banking app, Security is the most important aspect in determining the value of this app and this will be a complete walkthrough from setup to usage and customer experience.

To fully utilize the app you must first register or enroll your mobile device and sim number to their UMobile services o is written in another article, so this is a prerequisite before you can register for the app MPIN (Mobile Pin).

How to Enroll/Apply to Unionbank Philippines UMobile Banking App

After your device is enrolled, you can download the app.

The UI screen actually looks good and really fits the Unionbank theme, at first page, you will be directed to the app activation page, if your device is already registered you can immediately put the mobile number of your enrolled device and press the ‘Get Activation Code‘ button.

Just wait for a few minutes and you will receive your activation code in your mobile device and your temporary MPIN in your email. (You must use your activation code immediately before it will expire in few minutes)

In the case that the activation code has expired, you can resend the request again so no worries.

After that, enter the activation code from the SMS/text message, temporary MPIN from the email and your new MPIN to access the app.

If all details are correct, you can now access the app in the login page using the MPIN you just created. (You will also receive a SMS text message and an email for the confirmation for the app activation. Now you can fully utilize the app.)

So in terms of security and process, it is simple and smooth sailing. (Hopefully they will lessen the site downtime especially during peak hours/days like salary/bonus/pay out days).

– Buy load: You can buy/transfer load to any mobile anytime anywhere ( It will detect your entered mobile number if Sun, Globe, Smart)
– Pay bills: Pay your loan, credit card, phone, internet, utilities,etc and you can also setup auto payment options here

Transferring funds and banking account access has never been this convenient through your mobile device. This a good app for those who are using ATM, Payroll and even EON to check their balance and make banking transactions from time to time anytime and anywhere through their Android and iOS devices.
