Asticom Eyes International Market for Shared Services

Asticom Group of Companies has its eyes set on the international market for its shared services business, seeing a huge outsourcing potential from overseas clients.

 

Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, Asticom President and CEO, said they are already talking to a number of customers who are interested in outsourcing some of their IT, finance and human resource shared solutions to the Philippines.

 

“They believe in the quality of the talents we have, the infrastructure that we have.  They are also confident that we can deliver a better experience for their customers,” she said at a recent media roundtable.

Asticom’s Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI) is at the forefront of this initiative, proving to be a key player in the IT-BSO industry just a year into its operations.

 

ABSI offers managed services such as Business Service Outsourcing and Information Technology, and digital platform services like Customer Experience and Employee Engagement. With Asticom’s recent acquisition of HCX Technology Partners Inc. from Ayala Corporation, ABSI expanded its services to include human resources, customer relationship management, and digital solutions.

 

“We plan to go international in the next few years. We have started our efforts in creating brand awareness and more exposure for ABSI and HCX to the international market. We currently have a couple of multinational companies as clients,” said Melissa Tecson, General Manager of ABSI.

On the local front, Asticom currently has over 190 clients in about 25 industries. While most of its clients are large businesses, the group has started looking into small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that need the most support.

“We’re helping these businesses grow and supporting them through our logistics solutions BRAD for last-mile delivery.  We also have ABSI for payroll and HR services, and FINSI to power businesses through connectivity.  We believe that will expand the level of clientele that we have today in the Philippines,” said Reyes.

 

Asticom strives to continuously improve its business solutions to propel its clients and people towards greater growth. It is also gearing up to introduce new technologies and innovations to widen its scope of services.

Asticom Bags Three Golds in 2022 TITAN Business Awards

Asticom Group of Companies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globe, bagged three golds in the recent 2022 TITAN Business Awards.  The international awards recognize innovative excellence across all global businesses and enterprises from wide-ranging industries.

 

The shared services group excelled in the Company & Organization category for its overall strategy and efforts to innovate and grow.  It was also hailed in the Human Resources category as having the best health and wellbeing strategy.  Lastly, Asticom’s technologies and systems were cited in the IT category for their efficiency in resolving issues in the organization.

This year, the awards received over 800 nominated entries from all across the globe, with participating countries numbering up to 50, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Netherlands, and Canada.

Asticom Celebrates 7 Years of Helping Businesses Achieve Greater Efficiency

Asticom Technology Inc. has reached another milestone as it celebrates its 7th anniversary in the shared services industry this year, helping various companies achieve more efficient operations.

 

Launched in March 2015 as a staffing and managed services solutions company, Asticom has grown extensively over the years.  It now operates as Asticom Group of Companies with three subsidiaries and one newly-acquired firm.

(BRAD).  The move  further expanded and reinforced its diverse business portfolio in business services outsourcing, IT, engineering, and logistics.

 

Later in the same year, Asticom acquired HR and Digital Solutions company HCX Technology Partners Inc., which was placed under ABSI. With HCX in its fold, Asticom added human resources, customer experience, finance, and corporate services to its extensive list of services.

Asticom Eyes Strategic Partnerships, JVs, Acquisitions to Expand Business

The Asticom Group of Companies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Globe Group, is looking at entering into strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions to grow and expand its portfolio of businesses.

 

Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, Asticom President and CEO, said they are currently in talks with several parties but emphasized that they are not interested in simply having a partner investor.

 

“A number of private equities have approached us in the past three months and have raised interest. We’re making sure that we find the right strategic partners that will help us grow the business and add value to the solutions we offer to address the needs of our customers,” she said.

In addition, Marc Kerveillant, General Manager of Asticom’s subsidiary Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI), said they are open to joint ventures and acquisitions.

 

“We’re in discussion with several companies for joint ventures. Our main goal is to increase our capabilities, grow the business, and eventually, create a connected nation,” said Kerveillant.

 

FINSI is a local solutions provider for the telecom and technology industries, providing engineering and enablement services.

He explained that FINSI relies on people and teams to deploy fiber and have a nationwide presence.  Being an engineering company, they need to collaborate, enter into joint ventures, or even acquire companies to increase their product and service offerings to clients.

 

Aside from FINSI, Reyes said there are also a lot of potential partnerships across the different companies under Asticom.

“As we continue to grow, we also plan to establish more strategic partnerships both in and outside of the Philippines. We want to expand our reach through the relationship we build with our partners as well,” said Mel Tecson, General Manager of ABSI.

 

As for BRAD, the on-demand logistics solutions plans to go nationwide and bring its services to more localities in the Visayan and Mindanao regions. It is also looking to tap into more opportunities in the e-commerce space as it hopes to become the nation’s most advanced, efficient, and impactful tech-enabled provider of end-to-end supply chain technology solutions.

 

“We continue to build more partnerships for BRAD, especially with the local businesses in the country. We’re already gearing up to do the same for the other regions, as we want to take BRAD nationwide,” said Richie Santos, General Manager of BRAD Warehouse and Logistics Solutions..

 

Other Asticom subsidiaries are Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI), a business process solutions company, and BRAD, an on-demand tech-enabled logistics solutions provider.
