“The next-generation Ranger will soon be arriving in the Philippines, and we’re truly excited to work with our dealers to begin accepting reservations this month,” shares Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines. “The huge anticipation towards the next-gen Ranger is truly gaining ground – from the positive feedback we’re seeing on social media and getting from our dealers, partners, and employees, so we’re starting our launch festivities on a high note by kicking off reservations ahead of our local reveal.”

Customer-focused pickup truck

With an athletic exterior and premium interior, the next-generation Ranger is the result of deep customer insight, developed through extensive customer research into what makes a great pickup. Designers took these insights, plus Ranger’s award-winning pickup formula, to create the next-generation Ranger – the one iconic, versatile, and trusted pickup customers trust to tackle almost anything – whether for work, family, or play.

The next-gen Ranger takes its design cues from Ford’s global truck portfolio with a bold new design, a wider stance, larger grille, increased width and wheelbase, and signature C-clamp shaped headlamps that give the next-gen Ranger that unmistakable ‘Built Ford Tough’ look.

The cabin is completely redesigned with more comfort, technology, and functionality. New features include a new seat design, a 10” or 12” colored portrait touchscreen, and SYNC® 4A with Wireless Apple Carplay® and Android AutoTM compatibility.

Capability will remain in the next-gen Ranger’s core. It will be available in two powerful engines: the 2.0L Bi-Turbo mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission or the 2.0L Single Turbo mated with a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission. The next-gen Ranger will also deliver more confidence on the road with a suite of safety features and new driver assistance technologies, which includes the 360-degree camera.

Ford will also announce a host of services centered around customer convenience to complement the Ranger ownership experience.

Next-Generation Ford Everest Takes Comfort, Safety and Ownership Experience To The Next Level #Ford #FordEverest

Published

on

The next-generation Ford Everest has officially made its local debut in the country today, blending adventure-ready capability with exceptional comfort and customer-focused technology in a rugged, refined, and fun to drive SUV.

Alongside the local launch, Ford Philippines is also announcing that the next-gen Everest will come with a 5-year warranty to enhance the ownership experience. The longer warranty offering will cover the next-gen Everest for up to 5 years or total mileage of up to 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

Armed with more customer feedback than ever before, the objective behind the development for the next-gen Everest was clear: Tough on the outside, sanctuary on the inside, amazing capability underneath.

Rugged Outside
A wider track by 50mm and 50mm longer wheelbase give the next-gen Everest its more progressive, muscular appearance, with a dramatic swell over the wheels that comes from a strong shoulder line that runs from front to back enhancing the strong and modern look.

A mix of horizontal and vertical elements on the front end add to a more stable look, with Ford’s global design DNA reflected in the C-clamp headlamps and horizontal upper grille bar. The LED taillights set in a full-width design emphasize the Everest’s increased track.

The panoramic moonroof available in the Titanium variants allows fresh air to get into the cabin at the touch of a button, while the hands-free power liftgate allows easy and quick access into the Everest’s spacious trunk with a kick of one’s foot under the sensor.

A Sanctuary Inside

Inside, the next-gen Everest boasts of a roomy interior with plush leather seats, premium finishes and ambient lighting in areas where they can be appreciated best. The sense of spaciousness is amplified by the full-width instrument panel and center console with dual cupholder recesses, plus dash-mounted ‘pop out’ cupholders for front seat occupants.

Thanks to the second-row seats’ ability to slide further forward than before, access to the third-row seats is much easier. Additionally, all occupants have more places to store their things, and can charge their devices through power outlets in all three rows.

Ford prioritized flexible seating in the next-gen Everest – the second-row slides with a 60:40 split seatback and the 50:50 split third row in the seven-seater configuration can be folded at the touch of a button on high-series models.  Both the second- and third-row seats are designed to fold flat to allow for long loads to be carried safely. Additionally, a hands-free liftgate opens with a simple kick, allowing users to open the back door of the vehicle even with their hands full–enabling easier cargo loading.

The sophisticated and comfortable interior is underpinned by an updated chassis, wider track, and refined suspension tuning.  Simply put, the next-gen Everest offers a balanced ride performance, whether on the highway or rough terrain.

Customer-focused Technology

Fully equipped with the latest connectivity features, depending on the variant, customers can enjoy either an 8 or 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a distinguished upgrade from the previous generation analogue cluster. The next-gen Everest also features a large and high-resolution 10 or 12-inch touch-screen infotainment screen with the latest SYNC® 4A, which is linked to a 360-degree camera with a display that helps drivers with parking and cruising through off-road terrains. It also comes with wireless charging feature to keep everyone inside connected at all times.

The next-gen Everest also has an Intelligent Oil Life Monitor (IOLM), a smart new feature that tells the owner when to have an oil change based on actual engine data, operating conditions, and owner driving habits.

Ford Philippines Receives Three Gold Awards at 5th Driven to Serve Awards

Published

on

Ford Philippines was recognized anew for its corporate  social responsibility (CSR) programs that help and support communities in the areas of  community development, COVID-19 response, and road safety.

Ford received three (3) Gold awards for its Building Healthy Communities program (Community  Development category), COVID-19 Relief program (COVID-19 response category), and Driving  Skills for Life (Road Safety category) in the 5th Driven to Serve to Awards organized by the  Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ).

Ford’s Building Health Communities is an outreach program focused on promoting self sufficiency and increased health awareness through neighborhood-based educational efforts.  Programs include medical and dental missions as well as various health and wellness forums. Under the program, Ford also supported farmers in North Luzon by purchasing their produce  and donating them to Gawad Kalinga (GK) communities in Bulacan. Through a virtual volunteer  activity, Ford employees also acted as teachers to the kids of Sta. Cruz, Laguna, teaching them  arts and crafts, storytelling, board games making, as well as academic tutorials. Ford also  turned over a grant of US$5,000 to the GK Community Development Foundation to support  Kusina ng Kalinga (KnK), a community kitchen program.

At the height of the pandemic, Ford Philippines also took an active role in supporting various  COVID-19 response efforts. It raised over P600,000 to fund GK’s “Walang Iwanan, Walang  Hawaan”, a relief and rehabilitation program that supplied food packs to thousands of vulnerable  families in the Visayas. PPEs, medical supplies, and medical tools were also given to various volunteers.

Ford also continued with its support to the healthcare sector with its donation of 10,000 face  shields to the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).  Thirteen hospitals and health centers and one non-government organization partner also  received medical supplies and PPEs with Ford’s partnership with the AMCHAM Foundation  Philippines. Ford also lent out a Ford Transit to Asian Hospital to help transport healthcare  workers, as well as a Ford Ranger to deliver food supplies and PPEs.

Beyond its support to community development and healthcare, Ford also offered its Driving  Skills for Life (DSFL) in an effort to reinforce road and driver safety in the advent of the ‘new  normal’. With the theme “Safe Driving in the New Normal,” last year’s DSFL covered timely

topics such as pandemic car care and maintenance tips, car sanitation and disinfection, and  driving techniques during the rainy weather. The sessions were conducted virtually via Zoom in  order to foster a safe and physically-distant learning environment. Within the four-month training  period, the DSFL was able to cover over 1,600 attendees attending a total of 21 virtual training  sessions.

“Corporate social responsibility is an integral part of our business at Ford. We thank the SPMJ  for continuing to recognize our programs that make a difference in the lives of the communities  we serve. These citations serve as an inspiration for us to look for more ways to expand our  programs to serve more beneficiaries,” says Mike Breen, managing director, Ford Philippines.
