How to remove recently opened apps from dock bar in macOS Catalina

Many mac user are facing issue in their MacBook after the update to Catalina that recently opened items remains in dock. Which is quite irritating as it stretches out the dock bar and makes it cluttered with lots of apps. The recently closed apps remains in the dock bar after macOS Catalina update. There is no direct way to permanently remove app from dock bar in mac. Now you have to manually remove each app from dock.

How to remove recently opened apps from dock bar in macOS:

To permanently remove the recently closed apps from the macOS Catalina you need to change dock setting as shown below:
1.    Open Settings (System Preference )
2.   Click on Dock
3.   At the end of setting screen uncheck– ‘Show recent application in dock ’
This will stop recently closed apps from appearing in macOS dock.
