STT GDC Philippines has tapped the First Balfour - Leighton Asia Joint Venture (FBLJV) to serve as the general contractor for the STT Fairview data center project, which will rise as the largest data center in the Philippines.

Under the partnership, FBLJV will handle construction of STT Fairview Phase 1, scheduled for completion by early 2025. The joint venture combines First Balfour's local proficiency with Leighton Asia’s international experience in constructing hyperscale data centers, aiming to meet international safety and quality standards while ensuring rapid execution.

"STT GDC Philippines is embarking on a transformative journey with the launch of the STT Fairview Phase 1 project. We collaborated with the First Balfour and Leighton Asia Joint Venture to turn our vision into reality by marrying local expertise with global best practices," said Carlo Malana, STT GDC Philippines President and CEO.

STT Fairview, which broke ground in May this year, is a crucial part of the company’s expansion strategy, adding a significant 124MW capacity to its portfolio and reinforcing its market presence. With the commencement of physical works on-site, the project solidifies its Ready-For-Service (RFS) dates for all sub-phases of Phase 1.
