Alibaba Group has unveiled Wukong, an AI-native enterprise platform designed to bring advanced agentic capabilities directly into business workflows. The platform can coordinate multiple agents to handle complex tasks within a single interface, and is built on enterprise-grade security infrastructure, positioning it as a productivity tool purpose-built for the demands of business environments.
The launch follows Alibaba Group‘s reorganization under the newly established
Alibaba
Token Hub (ATH) Business Group. As
the flagship enterprise AI platform developed by the Wukong Business
Unit under ATH, the launch signals a company-wide commitment to
advancing AI agents
for the enterprise market.
Wukong is currently available for invitation-only beta testing. It can be
downloaded as
a standalone desktop application or accessed as an embedded AI agent
within the latest version of DingTalk, Alibaba’s enterprise
collaboration platform serving over 20 million corporate users. Wukong
connects natively with DingTalk and will progressively connect
with other messaging platforms including Slack, Microsoft Teams and
WeChat, extending access to users across mobile devices.
The platform is built for agentic tasks
set in enterprise environments. It can operate local computers,
browsers, and cloud-based systems, and can coordinate multiple agents to
accomplish tasks such as editing documents, updating
spreadsheets, completing approval forms, transcribing meeting audio,
and conducting deep research.
Security is central to Wukong’s design. The platform comes equipped with identity authentication, access controls and dedicated enterprise sandboxes, tailored for the business environment where security is a top priority.
Alibaba’s broader e-commerce and
technology ecosystem—including Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Alipay, and Alibaba
Cloud—will be progressively integrated into Wukong as modular agent
skills, alongside support for third-party agent
skill integrations. This positions Wukong to support a wide range of
business functions, from e-commerce storefront design and supplier
management to payment processing and cloud infrastructure scheduling.
To address industry-specific needs, Wukong has also released One-Person Team (OPT) solutions across ten sectors—including
e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, legal
services, finance and accounting,
recruitment, design, software development, and content creation. Each
solution includes a curated suite of industry-specific skills, enabling
individuals and startups to manage complex workflows and scale
operations more efficiently.
Wukong’s agentic capabilities are
underpinned by a rearchitected version of DingTalk’s interface, rebuilt
as a Command-Line Interface (CLI) and open API layer. This gives Wukong
natively access to DingTalk’s full suite of enterprise
agentic functions, enabling the platform to autonomously plan complex
tasks, generate precise instructions and orchestrate agent workflows
without requiring human intervention.
In addition to AI innovations for
enterprise customers, Alibaba recently unveiled a major upgrade to its
flagship consumer AI application, the Qwen App, as part of the company’s
broader strategy to bring advanced AI capabilities
into practical, everyday use.
